the recap

We caught up with Mr. Jeremy Cantrell after he judged the barrows at the 2022 Rodeo Austin. Check out his thoughts below... |
Tell us a little bit about your champion.
The second his nose hit the sift pen I knew he was special. His skull, chest, foot and forearm gave you an incredible first impression. I can remember clinching in hopes that his rear third was as good as his front third. It was obviously just as impressive, very fun pig to evaluate, and one that’s not easy to make. Memorable for sure.
Did any breeds surprise you?
The down ear, white ones were solid!
What was the toughest class of the day/show?
The last few dark cross classes were tough and deep.
For you, what was the most memorable moment of the show?
Rodeo Austin puts on a great event. It’s well ran, with great staff and volunteers. I think just being a part of the show in general is what I’ll remember the most.
What was the best meal you had?
We splurged and ate at Ruth Chris steak house. It was awesome.
