The Grand Barrow at NAILE was sired by Never Before and out of a Dirty Secret X Distinct Sow that we are very excited about. This was her first litter and even before this win, we felt like we found we what we have been searching for. She and her sister are two sows we plan to build around for years to come. Cantrell Show pigs is a small family-owned operation that focuses on 10-15 cross and york sows. We have been very fortunate to establish a sow herd that allows our customers to compete at the highest levels.

Kolton’s Reserve champion market hog at this year's NAILE was a York gilt that we raised here at Kilmer Swine Farm. She was a Dominator back on a Leaps & Bounds sow. The Leaps & Bounds sow was 4th overall York gilt at the WPX a couple of years ago that the Bennington Family showed. In her first litter she raised a boar we sold to Purple Power Boar Stud named Dynamic and 3rd overall York gilt at the expo this year that Kolton showed also. Then in her second litter out of this Leaps sow she did it again, not only did she have Kolton’s gilt that was Reserve Champion but also a littermate boar was named Champion York boar at the NSR Fall Classic.

This barrow sold at The Force Pig Sale in Haskell, TX.   He is sired By The Lackey Bred Dirty Punch Boar that Also Recently Sired the Reserve Barrow at Ohio.  This is the first litter for The Dam of this barrow her pedigree is Wild Will x Historic.  Thanks to the  Barrilleaux Family for doing an Awesome Job with this Guy!

The 4th overall hog at NAILE was a divergent x leaps and bounds x (revivals sister) gain control. We have her and all of her littermates to put back into our herd as replacements gilts. Divergent also had the grand gilt at ft worth and reserve grand gilt at San Anton This year for the meek family that we raised. Sanders Showpigs is primarily a Yorkshire based sow herd this resides in Martinsville IL. DJ and his wife Amara along with their daughter Mila run the operation and strive to make the next generation better and love to see young exhibitors hard work pay off!

The Champion Landrace and 5th Overall Market Hog at the 2019 NAILE was an Overtime x Clocks Ticking x Got Em. She came from an exception litter, mates include the Champion Landrace Barrow and Reserve Landrace Gilt at American Royal and the Reserve Champion Landrace Gilt at the State Fair of Texas. It has been awesome for us to see what Overtime has been able to accomplish in his first pig crop. 2019 has been unbelievable for Knuth Showpigs and Overtime in the landrace arena. A big thank you to all of the showmen and families that trust our program, we are happy to work with some of the best across the country.

The champion division 3 crossbred barrow was a WTX Safeword x On Target x Creature. He was shown by Marisa Rowe of Grove, Oklahoma and purchased at our Northeast Elite Sale in Porter, Oklahoma. Littermate Barrow was Bronze Market Hog at Ark/Okla State Fair (Ft. Smith) and Littermate Sister was 8th Overall Commercial Gilt at Tulsa State. Marisa has driven a Champion 3 yrs in a row at the American Royal with a barrow from Todd Showpigs. Champion Spot ‘17, Champion Spot ‘18, and Champion Heavy Division Crossbred ‘19. Todd Showpigs is located in Porter, Oklahoma and typically farrows around 20 litters twice a year.

The barrow was a Fueled Up x Kankles. His mom was a winner as she was Champion at MLE shown by Emily Mead. Upon returning home she’s become a key sow within the herd that always carries much-anticipated litters. In her first litter, she raised Poker Face housed at Laird’s (PGB) and the Reserve champion Poland Gilt at Team Purebred this past summer. Fueled is a boar that we raised and sold at the expo in 2018. We thought that this litter was going to be home from the time of conception and it sure didn’t disappoint.

The champion barrow at the American royal was an encore x capital gain. His mommy is a littermate to the gilt we sold Trogdon as a bred last winter that had a gilt Hallie Landry showed that was reserve division 1 at the exposition. And Halle Rhoads had that was 4th overall Division 1 at Expo that gilt went on to be reserve grand gilt at the IL state fair. SD Genetics is a 60 sow operation in western Nebraska. Sow her is comprised mainly of crossbred sows farrowing year around for the purpose of raising elite level projects for youth exhibitors. The Grand at AKSARBEN Dirty 239 x Head Over Heels x Swagger x Space Monkey. The dam was raised by us, grandma originated from Heimer. The dam has put one in the sale at Colorado State Fair the past 3 years. She is due in January with a highly anticipated litter of WAGS.
