inside the ring

We caught up with Mr. Jason Corya before he judges the CPS gilts at the 2021 The Exposition. Check out his thoughts below... |
Pick One: Ford, Dodge, GMC or Chevy? Always been a Chevy guy
If you could build a show barn of your dreams what are a few things you would include?
I want it functional and efficient yet fun and entertaining. We’ll be spending the majority of our time there so plenty of area for the kids to enjoy it along with some type of lounge area for us and our customers. There would be TVs mounted to the wall and surround sound stereo for starters.
If you could only drink one thing the rest of your life other than water what would you choose?
That’s a tough one between Diet Mountain Dew & Coffee but if I have to only pick one I’ll give the nod to Diet Dew.
Do you have any superstitions? Show Day superstitions?
Never really been a superstitious kind of guy. Just figure things happen the way they were intended to.
What's one piece of advice another fellow judge or mentor has given you about judging that has stuck with you?
Don’t overthink the small stuff or try to fake yourself out. More times than not your first impression is the correct one.
Who's one judge you would tell a kid interested in judging to go listen to their reasons?
Brian Arnold
What's your showring pet peeve?
Dropping your free hand down on the pig’s back while he’s walking at a desired pace is very distracting. It tends to throw off the balance and gait of that animal. Being too whip happy is a very close second. |
