What’s a non-negotiable as you sort a class?
A big, loose skeleton.  I’m always been drawn to pigs that are stout with extra bone and feature.

Biggest pet peeve when judging?
When a youth exhibitor shows disrespect when they don’t do as well as they hoped.  Just remember there are always a set of younger enthusiasts watching and looking up to you!

How do you keep from mental exhaustion during a long day of judging?
Drink lots of water and coffee!!  

Does any advice from mentors come to mind as you judge?
Not all elite livestock look the same.  It’s ok to have some variety in what quality represents.

If you aren’t at a pig show or judging, where might we find you?
Watching the girls play sports!

My wife Haylee and I have 3 daughters.  Ella is 17, Claire is 13, and Alex is 8.  We can definitely say that our Show pig operation is a family thing, they are a huge part!!
