Besides winning, what was your favorite part about this show?
I enjoy hanging out with my friends from the show. We all enjoy playing football and cornhole.
I also enjoyed the rodeo where I was the San Antonio “ scholarship recipient“ during the performance. Everyone there was so nice to me and it was a memory I will never forget. They played a video clip about me and my project on the big screen and I received a big check down on the dirt!
Does your family have any traditions when traveling to a show?
We always try to stop and eat a good meal.
Tell us a little bit about your winner:
This gilt came all the way from Ottenwalter Farm in California to our home here in Texas. I know there are a lot of individuals behind this that put in a lot of work and I am very thankful for them and happy she ended up in our barn this show season.
She had the best personality. She was so relaxed and loved everyone and everything. She was always so easy to work with and I always enjoyed showing her in the ring.
What class did you have to do the most homework to catch up on from being gone?
Science
Least favorite chore:
Cleaning stalls
What's one thing you really focused on for this show?
I really focused on my showmanship for this show. I knew the areas I needed to be better in and I really tried hard to be coachable and improve where my weaknesses were for this show..
