We caught up with Ms. Emily Muehlstein, exhibitor of the 2021 Reserve Grand Champion Barrow at Houston Stock Show. Learn a little more about Emily below! |
Age: 15
Hometown: Stamford, TX
School:Stamford High School
What was your favorite thing about this stock show/trip?
Because of Houston's longer schedule, I got to spend much more time with my friends during layover at Brenham.
What was one thing you tried different with your project this year?
We oiled and sun tanned more, and fought with my brothers from day one over who was going to show this one. He was the barn favorite.
What is your favorite show product to use?
Champion's Choice and Listen's Klean-M-Up
What is your favorite brand of show jeans or show shoes?
7 for all mankind jeans
On the way to the show I am...
Nervous but excited!
What is one last minute thing you do before entering the ring?
The night before the Grand Drive at Houston, my brother brought a green shaving back to the pen and put it on 'Peanuts' head. The next day which was St. Patrick's Day, when we got to the barn early that morning, Peanut was asleep and that green shaving was laying in his pen. I put that green shaving in my pocket for good luck.
BUT most importantly I PRAY! Before the Grand Drive this year Josh prayed with my dad and I, and that was special.
