With this being one of the major shows of the summer, explain how excited were you to take home a Top 5?
I was extremely excited to drive 2 barrows to a top 5 finish. This year has been something that is for sure, and the unknown made it hard to get up everyday and continue to work for something that I didn’t know would even happen. So being successful in the ring made all the work and extra effort this past spring and summer worth it.

What was something new you tried this year since you were able to be home more often than normal?
Something new that we tried this year was walking my Poland barrow with a bucket. Because of the cancellation of The Exposition many of our pigs were put on diets, and one of the pigs in particularly didn’t like the lifestyle and became a handful to manage. He would never cooperate to walk and the only thing that would get him out of the barn was the rattle of a feed bucket!

What is your favorite show product to use?
Anything to do with Sunglo!

When I grow up I want to be....
Successful!

Showing animals has helped me to develop......
Patience and understanding that nothing is for sure and anything can happen.
