With this being one of the major shows of the summer, explain how excited were you to take home a Top 5?
Very excited! To be in the top 5 at a regular national show in a normal year is very special, let alone in a year like this. It was very exciting to finally see all the hard work that my family and I have been putting in this year turn into some great results with there being hardly any shows.

What was something new you tried this year since you were able to be home more often than normal?
It was nothing new that I tried this year really. It was more that I got the whole barn trained a lot faster. It seemed like they were all trained in about 2 weeks where sometimes it can take up to a month if there are other things going on. I was also able to help some other kids out with their pigs and was able to see them get a lot better.

What is your favorite show product to use?
My favorite show product is definitely Pepi. It is actually a horse product, but it really gives my pigs that extra shine and pop in the show ring.

When I grow up I want to be....
When I grow up I want to be doing something in the agricultural field and run a show pig and cattle operation.

Showing animals has helped me to develop......
Showing animals has helped me develop so many life skills like responsibility that no other thing could teach me. I know from experiences from showing animals it will help me in any situation in the future.

What's your favorite Barn Chore:
My favorite barn chore is definitely washing my pigs. You get to see them go from the worst they could look to the best.

Who is the person you look to for advice right before you go in the ring for that last minute pep talk or pointer:
My cousin Dustin for sure. He is always telling me what angles I should and shouldn’t be showing the judge and giving that last minute advice.

Favorite Celebration Restaurant after a good day at the show:
Any place that has good barbecue is a great place to celebrate after a good day at a show.
