Besides winning, what was your favorite part about this show?
The entire week of the barrow show at the Oklahoma youth expo is an unmatched type of energy. The people and animals and the show are all around the best place to spend spring break. The best part of the show would have to be seeing the agriculture community come together and support each other.
Does your family have any traditions when traveling to a show?
I consider Braeton Kimble at Kimble Livestock to be apart of my “family “. Before every major show we go to we pull up listening to the song “We Dem Boyz” just to mentally prepare ourselves for what is to come.
Tell us a little bit about your winner:
Mahomes was named after the football player , because we knew he was gonna play in the “4th quarter.” He was a tough hog to feed throughout his entire life, he was naturally hard muscled and we had to counter that with proper feed and supplement's. He was a End Game x Honeynut x Lock it up
What class did you have to do the most homework to catch up on from being gone?
Believe it or not it would’ve been one of my ag classes , we were building gates. Needless to say I had some welding to do when I got back home.
Least favorite chore:
Deep cleaning the barn would be my least favorite thing to do, it has a combination of everything mixed in.
What's one thing you really focused on for this show?
Endurance would be the key factor I focused on for this show, these judges know who puts the work in at home. I did not want to be someone who was best because I did not do my job and my animal did.
