How did you get started showing pigs?
My Aunt Jess showed pigs in 4H, and when my sister and I were small, we would go to my grandparents house and help her with her pigs. As my older sister Brooke got to 4H age, she decided to show pigs herself. After a few years of helping her, I was finally old enough to show pigs myself!
Brooke was my biggest influence in showing. We fought like normal sisters, but what I learned from her are things I will never forget. Not only how to feed a pig or how to show, but how to win gracefully and how to get up and keep trying when you fail.
The Best Piece of Showing Advice/Showmanship Advice I've Ever Received:
Showmanship starts the day you buy your pig! As my Dad has always told me, it’s not only the week of the show that matters. It’s the never ending hours of walking, washing, cleaning pens and showmanship practice that helps to stand out in the showring!
My Favorite Animal I Ever Showed:
I have three pigs that I will never forget. My first big win was with my duroc, Anna, as Reserve Grand Champion at the Colorado State Fair in 2016. My gilt, Lizzo, got me the Aksarben banner in 2019 and she will forever be my favorite gilt. My favorite barrow, Monster, gave me so many unforgettable memories from NWSS 2020. These three will always have a special place in my heart!
Hobbies Outside of Showing Livestock:
Although most of my time is spent in the barn, I enjoy playing basketball, reading and hanging out with friends and family.
Most Embarrassing Stock Show Moment:
My most embarrassing moment was at my county fair. I had the wrong pig in the wrong class! My pigs were all lightweights, and we mixed two up!
When I Grow Up I Want To....
As I get older I strive to be the person that little kids tell their parents they want to be some day. Not only because of my success, but because of the way I treat others and how I make people feel about themselves. After I graduate high school and college, I would love to have a career where I can help kids be the best version of themselves.

Favorite Stock Show Snack/Food:
Red Vine Licorice...if Carson doesn’t eat it all!
Peanuts...if Jason doesn’t find them first!
Iced Animal Crackers...if Zach doesn’t devour them!
