If you could offer one piece of advice for families wanting to show pigs on a competitive level, what would it be?
To be competitive at any level it is important to establish a trustworthy support system. Those individuals’ roles within the industry could vary from breeders, feed reps, judges, or even fellow exhibitors. Be inquisitive about everything in the showpig world - anything from selection of the project, to feeding, skin and hair, training, and show ring prep. From there, work hard and you will eventually be rewarded. It might take time, but don’t give up!
What's next for your showpig business? (Upcoming sales, exciting matings, future goals/expansions, etc)
We will be exhibiting at the NSR Summer Type Conference and the Indiana State Fair.
