There were 3 Littermate gilts that all placed. One of those opted to sell in the sale and brought $3100 for Lindsay Neal of Florida to Schaffers Gold Rush. The 4th Littermate was a boar I took, which sold for $4500 also to Schaffers. It's been an outstanding litter from the start.
If you have a person starting out, what is one tip on facility design you would suggest to them?
They would need a small chip barn with heat and good ventillation.
What do you consider the most influential sow/boar in the showpig industry or your herd?
This is tough question, lots of outstanding boars out there! Learn to match the boar to your sows - they don't always need to be the most expensive.
