How did you get involved in the swine industry?
Started showing pigs at a young age of 4 and have developed and absolute passion and desire for this industry to grow

With this being one of the major shows of the summer, how rewarding was it to capture a win?
Being able to attend the first major show of the summer and surround ourselves with friends from all over was rewarding in itself but being there with a support group of people that took a chance on a small breeder and being able to put one in front of the backdrop was unimaginable and very humbling to achieve such a honor!

With the pandemic, what struggles have you faced as a breeder and how do you think the show world will evolve with the problems we are facing?
As livestock people we overcome adversity throughout the year and always find a way to stay grounded and keep moving forward!! The show world I believe is only going to get bigger, better and more competitive!! There are struggles in raising and showing livestock but I don’t believe a pandemic is going to stop a drive and passion so many of us have!

What breeding decision are you most excited about for the next breeding/farrowing season?
Breeding decisions are like playing a game of chess hoping that in the end you hit a checkmate! Most excited about continuing to build this operation and seeing what the future holds is the most exciting yet challenging part!
