What was your opinion of your champion as a baby?
The standout of the gilts once they hit the chips!
Littermate barrow that Sold at Lackey Farm Sale was just Reserve Barrow at San Angelo. 

Favorite sow? Why?
This is a young sow second litter. Her pigs have been exciting. The Grandma of this sow was purchased from Beyers when we started back into Durocs few years back. 

What has been the scariest decision for your operation?
I think everyday is a New Challenge. The entire process is all challenging at times.  Every move you make is very important.

At what age, do you ear notch babies? 
Within a week

Growing up what did you think your occupation would be?
Andrew and I always dreamed of running a Showpig operation & Boar Stud. We are very blessed it became true with the help and support of our Parents and Grandparents.

We have had several over the years.

Being able to show without question was something we once took for granted. Now with the uncertainty of being able to have shows, how rewarding was it to capture a win?
Awesome! All  families stuck with their projects and never got off track. We appreciate all the people and sponsors that made the new show happen and be so successful for all.

With the pandemic, what struggles have you faced as a breeder and how do you think the show world will evolve with the problems we are facing?
I think most, if not all, have stayed positive and pressed forward with their business. Shows continued through the tough times because of the many leaders in our industry. Shows will continue to go on in a great way.  

What breeding decision are you most excited about for the next breeding/farrowing season?
Excited to use our new boars to see what they can do:  
Back Drop, Banner, Lock N Key, & Crown Jewel to mention a few.
